CTLA4 and neoplasm: Immune checkpoints inhibitors (ICIs) can restore anti-tumor immunity, notably by disrupting the immune checkpoint axis between cytotoxic T-lymphocytes and tumor cells, through the target of immune checkpoint molecules such as PD-1 (programmed death-1)/PD-L1 (programmed death-ligand 1) and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA4).
