Additionally, in a recent publication, we demonstrated that co-treatment with Dihydroartemisinin (DHA), a derivative of Artemisinin commonly used in the treatment of Malaria, synergizes with docetaxel effects in both in vitro and in a xenograft mouse model, indicating that Axl inhibition by DHA may prevent or at least delay resistance to docetaxel in a prostate cancer model. This evidence concerns the gene AXL and prostate cancer.
