MPL and myeloproliferative neoplasm: The oncogenic properties of CALR mutants are, in fact, related to this novel C-terminal domain and are not a consequence of a specific sequence of the C-terminal domain but are rather linked to its positive electrostatic charge [40,41] with MPN transformation manifested through the physical interaction between the positive electrostatic charge of the mutant C-terminal domain and the thrombopoietin receptor (TpoR/MPL) [40].
