Several trials demonstrated its clinical potential in both primary [18] and recurrent PCa [19,20,21,22,23,24,25], in particular, based on data collected from 797 PCa patients, it has been recently (2017) registered as [18F]Fluciclovine (Axumin; Blue Earth Diagnostics, Inc, Oxford, GB), authorized by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Medicines Agency (EMA) for PET imaging in adult men with a suspected recurrence based on elevated blood prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels after primary curative treatment [24,26,27].
