In the present study, we characterized three major processes of the development of the inflammation in CF bronchial cells, namely (i) oxidant and antioxidant statuses in healthy bronchial epithelial (HBE), CF bronchial epithelial (CFBE), and CFBE-wt cells; (ii) the inflammation profiles, and (iii) the role of CFTR and copper in redox balance and inflammation. Here, CFTR is linked to cystic fibrosis.
