However, we found no evidence for an association of common MC4R genetic variation with coronary artery disease (HR 1.03; 95% CI 0.99, 1.07), ischemic vascular disease (HR 1.00; 95% CI 0.98, 1.03), myocardial infarction (HR 1.01; 95% CI 0.94, 1.08 and 1.02; 0.98, 1.07) or stroke (HR 0.93; 95% CI 0.85, 1.01), nor with any atherosclerotic plaque phenotype. The gene discussed is MC4R; the disease is coronary artery disorder.
