Olmes et al. analyzed renal biopsies from 68 patients with lupus nephritis (ISN/RPS classes II–V) using immunohistochemical analysis for infiltration with M1-like (iNOS+/CD68+), M2a-like (CD206+/CD68+) and M2c-like Mφs (CD163+/CD68+) [50]. The gene discussed is CD68; the disease is lupus nephritis.
