The prediction about a putative tumorigenic role of DDX11 appears to be confirmed by contemporary reports indicating that DDX11 over-expression promotes hepatocellular carcinoma and osteosarcoma growth and metastasis, while DDX11 downregulation restrains tumoral development and progression in xenograft mouse models of these cancers, as we have summarized herein. Here, DDX11 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
