GC and viral infectious disease: Overall, the results imply that (i) a low frequency of the G allele of the ApaI polymorphism exists in kidney transplant cases, (ii) a low frequency of the G allele of the rs7040 polymorphism is associated with poor graft function or rejection, (iii) a low frequency of the T allele of the FokI polymorphism and a high frequency of the T allele and a low GG genotype distribution in the rs7040 VDBP polymorphism are associated with viral infections in kidney recipients.
