CSF2 and COVID-19: This phenomenon is associated with various inflammation-related cytokines, chemokines such as interleukins (IL)-1β, IL-6, IL-7, IL-8, IL-9, IL-17, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interferon (IFN)-γ, granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF), granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), and chemokine ligands 2, 3, and 4 (CCL2-CCL4), which have been observed in plasma obtained from individuals suffering from COVID-19 and even worse in dying patients [12].
