More recent studies predicted a role in CD pathogenesis for lipoma-preferred partner (LPP), C1ORF106 (C1 Orfan 106), Rho GTPase-activating protein 31 (ARHGAP31) and protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type K (PTPRK) genes, which play a role in actin cytoskeleton rearrangement, cell–cell adhesion and in epidermal growth factor (EGF)/ EGF receptor (EGFR) pathway activation [21,22,23,24]. The gene discussed is EGF; the disease is lipoma.
