Osteopontin is an adhesive glycophosphoprotein secreted by activated T lymphocytes, macrophages, and leukocytes, and found in the extracellular matrix, sites of inflammation and body fluids [75] Osteopontin is not only expressed in ovarian cancer but also in endometrial, cervical, breast, colorectal, nonsmall cell lung, prostate, hepatocellular and gastric cancer.
