MALAT-1 promoted spheroid formation and resistance to gemcitabine in pancreatic cancer cells as well as tumorigenicity in vivo by stimulating the expression of self-renewal-associated stem cell transcription factors and other proteins, including OCT4, NANOG, SOX2, BMI1, β-catenin, and c-Myc [140].
