Increased expression of hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) and transcription factor nuclear-kB (NF-kB) is also mediated by intermittent hypoxia in OSA [50,51,52,53,54] leading to upregulated expression of procoagulant factors, such as TF and factor VIII [55,56,57]. This evidence concerns the gene TF and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
