Furthermore, work from Gupta et al. have shown that PAK2 is essential in HNSCC through regulation of MYC [76], and our own studies have recently elaborated on the oncogenic functions of LZK and TNIK in SCCs through stabilization of mutant p53 and regulation of Merlin, respectively [65,70]. The gene discussed is PAK2; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
