Given that the LNCaP cell line represents the androgen-sensitive and non-metastatic setting of PCa, whereas C4-2B embodies the metastatic and androgen-independent setting of the disease, inference from our model would suggest that development of resistance to docetaxel may lead to enhanced or suppressed AR signaling, depending on the setting of the disease, which has implications for clinical decision making.
