Our data showing that resistance to docetaxel was associated with AR signaling are consistent with results from the CHAARTED (ChemoHormonal Therapy versus Androgen Ablation Randomized Trial for Extensive Disease in Prostate Cancer) and STAMPEDE (Systemic Therapy in Advancing or Metastatic Prostate Cancer: Evaluation of Drug Efficacy) clinical trials, which suggested an association between androgen receptor signaling and docetaxel sensitivity in PCa [6,41]. This evidence concerns the gene AR and prostate carcinoma.
