Table 4 shows lab tests performed in patients admitted for COVID-19. D-dimer and troponin T were performed only in more severe cases. Children who needed ventilatory support and those with MIS-C were more likely to have a low lymphocytes count and/or a high CRP level as compared to children with mild-moderate disease or pneumonia (p < 0.005). Children with MIS-C also had significantly higher ESR (p < 0.001), ferritin (p < 0.001) and ALT (p = 0.001). Here, CRP is linked to COVID-19.
