This group of genes included Metallothionein 1E (MT1E), Natriuretic Peptide B (NPPB), Leucine Rich Repeat Containing 15 (LRRC15), MHC Class I Polypeptide-Related Sequence B (MICB), Fibronectin Type III Domain Containing 1 (FNDC1), DP Ribosylation Factor Like GTPase 11 (ARL11), Charged Multivesicular Body Protein 4C (CHMP4C), Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), and Integrin Subunit Alpha 2 (ITGA2) many of which have already been implicated in MDD and could be used to identify patient response to bupropion in vitro, prior to drug prescription. This evidence concerns the gene MT1E and major depressive disorder.
