Cyp46A1 signals were quantified, and the results indicate a significant reduction of Cyp46A1 in brain homogenates at the terminal stage of prion disease (RML, 22L, and ME7; p < 0.01) compared to the age-matched non-infected mice (Fig. 1c; p < 0.01). Here, CYP46A1 is linked to prion disease.
