Targeted therapies against vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGF) e.g. bevacizumab, and epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR) e.g. cetuximab or panitumumab, are also recommended for first line management of patients with metastatic colorectal cancer in combination with cytotoxic chemotherapy [3, 4].
