We confirmed that baseline hyperlipidemia was associated with the odds of testing positive for SARS-CoV-2, but this association was driven primarily by association of baseline lower HDL-C and ApoA-I levels with SARS-CoV-2 positivity, suggesting specifically that baseline HDL-C level may be useful for stratifying SARS-CoV-2 infection risk. This evidence concerns the gene APOA1 and hyperlipidemia.
