Recent studies have also shown that ST6GalNAc‐I is overexpressed in NSCLC and functions as a biomarker to distinguish lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) from lung squamous cell carcinoma, suggesting the critical role of ST6GalNAc‐I in LUAD pathobiology [16]. This evidence concerns the gene ST6GALNAC1 and lung adenocarcinoma.
