BST2 and Zika virus infectious disease: Cytoplasmatic RNA sensor (DDX58, also known as Retinoic Acid Inducible Gene I, RIG-I) and classical interferon induced antiviral genes that direct block virus replication at several steps (SAM And HD Domain Containing Deoxynucleoside Triphosphate Triphosphohydrolase 1, SAMHD1: RNA virus replication; TRIMs: virus uncoating; and Bone Marrow Stromal Cell Antigen 2, BST2: virus budding, respectively) were also down-modulated by ZIKV infection.
