The tumor suppressor gene p53 (p = 1.6e-05, Wilcoxon Test, Figure 4B) and the kinases ARID1A (p = 0.0007, Wilcoxon Test, Figure 4B) and RNF43 (p = 0.00012, Wilcoxon Test, Figure 4B) showed the strongest single-gene associations with a TIP in terms of selection probability (Figure 4A), indicating these genes to be relevant factors for the TIPs inflamed (tumor, CD4) (TP53, RNF43) and inflamed (tumor, CD8) (ARID1A), respectively.
