Although the protein or mRNA of ITGA9 are roughly increased in the above-mentioned cancer types, they have previously been reported to be down-regulated in other tumors, such as human squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, bladder cancer and non-small-cell lung cancer, which is similar to the case for hepatocellular carcinoma (110–112). Here, ITGA9 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
