ARRDC3, a member of the arrestin family [54], was positively correlated with vRNA abundance, yet its depletion increased VEEV-TC-83 infection via most assays as well as VEEV-TrD infection (Figs 5A, S5A and S5D), and its overexpression decreased infection (Fig 5B), in contrast with the other four positively correlated genes tested. The gene discussed is ARRDC3; the disease is infection.
