Using the bi- and tri-allelic phased genotype of SLC6A4 that comprises 5-HTTLPR and rs25531 variants, data show that the frequency of LA/SA was significantly lower, while LA/superlong was 2.1-fold higher in anxiety cases as compared to patients without borderline anxiety (18.1% vs. 33.2%, p = 0.016; 19.4% vs. 6.2%, p = 0.001, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene SLC6A4 and Anxiety.
