IFA (1.18 (1.00–1.30) vs 1.00 (0.98–1.20), AU/ML, p = 0.003), GPA (5.80 (4.10–7.90) vs 4.80 (3.60–6.50) pmol/l, p = 0.005) and TNF-α (45.00 (33.47–56.67) vs 41.67 (28.33–48.33), pg/ml p<0.0001) levels were significantly higher among the participants with vitamin B12 deficiency compared to those with normal vitamin B12 levels. Here, TNF is linked to vitamin B12 deficiency.
