RASGRP1 (RAS guanyl releasing protein 1) was previously identified as a candidate gene for both T1D and T2D (Mahajan et al., 2018), and ASCC2 (activating signal cointegrator 1 complex subunit 2) and SRGAP2 (SLIT-ROBO Rho GTPase-activating protein 2) were identified as T2D candidate genes (Mahajan et al., 2018)1. This evidence concerns the gene RASGRP1 and type 1 diabetes mellitus.
