ALB and lipoid nephrosis: Table 1 summarizes demographical and clinical characteristics. Mean age was 5.1±0.9 years for SSNS patients and 6.9±2.3 years for CTRL. Only one SSNS patient underwent renal biopsy since he was ≥12 years old at onset and presented a histological pattern suggestive of minimal change disease. As expected, serum protein and serum albumin were significantly lower and proteinuria was significantly higher in SSNS patients compared to CTRL (Table 1).
