Cervical cancer is one of the most common female malignant tumors in worldwide and is one of the primary causes of tumor death among women.391–396 The researchers found that HeLa cells with GSDMB overexpression showed obvious characteristics of pyroptosis.20 In addition, the release of GzmB by immune cells cleaved GSDME and promoted HeLa cell pyroptosis, which is an important finding for understanding the interaction between GSDME-mediated cell death and the immune system.19 The results indicate that there is a positive feedback relationship between pyroptosis and the immune response. This evidence concerns the gene GSDME and cervical cancer.
