In conclusion, our findings demonstrate that (1) CD36 is highly expressed in HCC and elevated CD36 expression contributes to HCC tumor growth and metastasis; (2) CD36 plays a fundamental role in the metabolic reprogramming of glycolysis in HCC cells; and (3) CD36 induces mTOR, which is mediated by the upregulation of Src/PI3K/AKT signal axis. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and neoplasm.
