Bakuchiol has been recently reported to exhibit cytotoxic activity against several specific human cancer cell lines [49] while being physically bound to Hck, Blk, and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), indicating that Hck, Blk, and p38 MAPKs are molecular targets for bakuchiol in skin cancer [50]. The gene discussed is MAPK14; the disease is skin cancer.
