From these results, we found that, unlike HSPA5, the mRNA expressions of ACE2 were significantly overexpressed in some types of cancers, including colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRC), pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), rectum adenocarcinoma (READ) and stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), but significantly lower expressions in other types of cancers including kidney chromophobe (KICH), sarcoma, testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT) and thyroid carcinoma (THCA), than those in normal tissues (Figure 5, and data not shown), which has been reported recently for ACE231.
