Our studies using allograft mice bearing Brca1-mutant tumors showed that tumor growth was significantly delayed in mice treated by monotherapy with 20 Gy irradiation compared with untreated mice (RTV = 27.9%) in association with elevated levels of cleaved Caspase 3 and increased macrophage infiltration (Fig. 2B and 2E). The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is neoplasm.
