CPNE3 is a member of calcium-dependent membrane-binding protein family, and has often been reported to be involved in diseases such as acute myeloid leukemia, breast cancer, lung cancer, etc. Although this gene’s role in WM and anxiety has not been reported with direct evidence, Cohen, et al.28 found that CPNE3 expressed transcripts with relatively shorter 3′UTRs in schizophrenia patients than in healthy controls. This evidence concerns the gene CPNE3 and breast carcinoma.
