CD14 and viral infectious disease: The MVS score was substantially higher in myeloid cells from hospitalized patients with viral infection (Figures 2C–2E, Figures S2B and S2C) and positively correlated with the severity of viral infection in myeloid cells (R = 0.28, p = 2.4e-06), which was driven by CD14+ monocytes (R = 0.45, p = 2.7e-14) compared to CD16+ monocytes (R = 0.25, p = 2.4e-05) (Figure 2F).
