NFE2L2 and infection: Consistent with the ROS findings in macrophages (Fig 1D), Nrf2-/- mice presented higher levels of ROS with both LgyLRV1+ and LgyLRV1- at the peak of infection in comparison to their WT counterparts (Fig 2B), using bioluminescence in vivo imaging of footpads, which suggested also no difference in ROS control in between LgyLRV1+ and LgyLRV1- infected mice.
