As increasing evidence including our previous studies indicates that PD-L1, another immune inhibitory molecule, is induced by GM-CSF to express on neutrophils in GC [6] or on myeloid-derived suppressor cells in live metastases [33] via activating the JAK-STAT3 signaling pathway, we have now added B7-H4 onto that list as it is also induced to express on tumor-infiltrating neutrophils that responded to GC-derived GM-CSF.
