The human cancer lines Hela (cervical), Calu-6 (lung adenocarcinoma), NCI-H841 (small cell lung cancer) and DU-145 (prostate) are all known to express MYC abundantly and treatment with diMF for four days killed 25–35% of cells with all four of these cell lines (Fig 5A). The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is lung adenocarcinoma.
