Based on our review and the studies of other researchers, there are some appropriate measurable biomarkers for the increased risk of VTE in ovarian cancer, such as elevated platelet counts, d-dimer levels, white blood cell counts, and CA125 levels, and decreased hemoglobin and albumin levels in the preoperatively; as well as elevated d-dimer levels and decreased albumin levels postoperatively 86-88. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and ovarian carcinoma.
