As CIN is considered to drive the acquisition of malignant hallmarks (Giam and Rancati, 2015; Hanahan and Weinberg, 2011), we investigated whether knockdown of Tiam1 could lead to an increase in lagging chromosomes at anaphase, a widely used readout of chromosome mis-segregation that can lead to CIN. Here, TIAM1 is linked to cervical squamous intraepithelial neoplasia.
