There is increasing evidence which implicates aberrant IL-7/IL-7R signaling in the pathogenesis of numerous autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis [10, 11], type I diabetes [12, 13], MS [14, 15], systemic lupus erythematosus [16] and Primary Sjögren’s Syndrome [17–19]. The gene discussed is IL7R; the disease is autoimmune disease.
