CXCL12 and familial dilated cardiomyopathy: While classical statistics failed to identify significant differences or at least a trend in CD patients (NYHA I-IV) for both MIF (Fig 2B) and CXCL12 (Fig 3B), they were able to visualize significant predictive value of MIF (p< 0.05) and CXCL12 (p< 0.01) plasma concentrations for risk in lethality and necessity for heart transplant in DCM patients (Figs 2C and 3C).
