Previous reports have shown that Bcl-2 family members are key regulators of cellular apoptosis; thus, we explored the role of Cyr61 on the expression of Bcl-2 family proteins, and the results showed that Cyr61 knockdown decreased the level of Bcl-xL in the two L-OHP-resistant CRC cell lines (HCT-8/L-OHP and HCT116/L-OHP) and that Cyr61 overexpression increased the level of Bcl-xL in HCT-8 and HCT116 cells. Here, BCL2L1 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
