In another US study in MM patients, mobilization with G-CSF + plerixafor was more costly (total cost US$28,980.00 versus US$19,626.50; p = 0.001; 2012 values) and more effective (higher percentage of 2–10 million CD34+ cells collected; p = 0.01–0.001) than G-CSF + low-dose cyclophosphamide [19].
