LTβR−/− mice compared to WT mice showed a delayed and reduced T. gondii-specific IgM and, surprisingly, an abrogated T. gondii-specific IgG antibody response in the serum during infection (days 4, 7, and 10 p.i.; Fig. 7b), demonstrating a lack of functional isotype switching that is in line with the bioinformatic host-pathogen prediction network. The gene discussed is CD40LG; the disease is infection.
