IL6 and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia: In a study evaluating IL-6 concentration in the cervicovaginal washings of patients with cervical cancer and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and healthy controls, higher IL-6 levels were observed in patients with cervical cancer than in healthy subjects, indicating a relationship between IL-6 levels and the pathogenesis and severity of cervical neoplasia [13].
