Together, our multi-stage epigenetic screen and systematic correlation analysis identified a set of seemingly distinct epigenetic states whose inhibition, either by the Kdm1a inhibitor SP2509, or by the pan-Jmj-KDM inhibitor JIB-04 or BET inhibitors (when used in combination with Braf/Mek inhibitors), led to tumor cell killing in a melanoma cell line-specific manner. This evidence concerns the gene JARID2 and melanoma.
