The results of KEGG pathway analysis showed that 10 pathways were significantly enriched (Fig. 2a), including steroid hormone biosynthesis (CYP11A1, HSD17B6, SULT2B1, LOC101110727, and LOC101119706), Staphylococcus aureus infection (C5, DSG1, and ITGAL), arachidonic acid metabolism (PTGS1, PLA2G6, and PLA2G4D), and bacterial invasion of epithelial cells (ITGA5, CAV3, and HCLS1). This evidence concerns the gene CAV3 and staphylococcus aureus infection.
